Jet A1 is the most widely used aviation turbine fuel in the world, powering commercial airlines, cargo carriers, military aircraft, and private aviation fleets across every continent. It is a kerosene-type fuel refined to meet the stringent quality requirements set forth by DEF STAN 91-91 (United Kingdom Ministry of Defence) and ASTM D1655 (American Society for Testing and Materials), ensuring consistent performance under the extreme conditions of high-altitude flight.

The fuel is characterized by its excellent thermal stability, low freezing point of minus 47 degrees Celsius, and controlled flash point of 38 degrees Celsius minimum, which together provide reliable ignition, safe handling, and dependable performance in both tropical and arctic operating environments. Its tightly controlled density range of 775 to 840 kilograms per cubic meter and maximum sulfur content of 0.30 percent ensure compatibility with modern turbine engines and compliance with international emission standards.
